This module incorporates the most recent research on how trauma impacts brain development and affects an adolescent’s and child behaviour and relationships. Lamb International and Bush Ways Foundation will explore exciting ways in which understanding how the brain functions can improve the lives of adolescents and Children; making their relationships more fulfilling and less lonely and distressing on both sides of the generational divide. This roadmap for understanding the adolescent and child mind will help care providers, parents and teachers become more empathetic and understanding of teenagers and children’s challenge and effectiveness in emotional regulation and behavioural adaptation. With a focus on different challenging and critical behaviours of the adolescent and child, this module will present strategies to work with the adolescent and younger generation on these behaviours and ultimately help them understand how to regulate their own emotions and behaviours.
