Trauma Training - Phase 1

Bush Ways Foundation in partnership with A Glow has a training course " Becoming a Trauma-informed Caregiver/ Worker/ Parent "

This course was held in Mid-September 2015 in collaboration with the Institute of Human Service and Lamb International through a Canadian couple Ruby and Lynn Johnston.

This was to train Child welfare workers, Managers, Decision makers and Social welfare as well as individuals who might be interested. We pinpointed the following organisations as they work with orphaned and vulnerable children; Bana ba letsatsi, WAR (Women against rape), Motse was Tsholofelo, Social welfare and other parties with biological or adoptive parents did attend.

Ruby and Lynn came at their own expense and were not looking to make a profit on the program but have selected Maun Botswana as one of the places they will be visiting and training. The training course was a huge benefit to the community as well as benefit individuals on a personal and professional level.

Looking forward to Module 2 coming in November 2016.
